Report: | Sorry for the delay in uploading results
John, please would you mind checking all okay as I'm not too sure on Tom/Georges results are the right way round as it isn't clear on the score sheets.
Would you mind then adding the points
Cheers
Gabby
I have updated what I know, but I think Ben's match at 5 was 3/1? - Little match report below...
Rodmershams first loss of the season came a week after it was expected after a weakened Mote team last week.
This week against The Park Club though we started off on the wrong foot with my bad calf playing up in the first game, enough for me to think about stopping, but George who is playing better than I have seen for years was having some good and bad patches which kept me thinking I had a chance, and so I kept on going, only to pull my hamstring on my other leg in the 5th - with two bad legs it's tricky to play so I had to concede. - 1/0 Away Team
Sam again was in total control over an under performing Pete who had little answer for Sam's movement and shot selection. An easy win over a tough opponent, Iv'e not seen Sam pushed yet this year in Outer Kent, but it's Canterbury next match so I am sure this will happen then. - 1/1
Edward and John have played a few times before and I think Ed won the last match. This time round John played the right game and let Ed make the errors, steady and methodical beats run and hit basically. If only Edward would settle down a little and tighten his shots up. Definitely get Amelia on the return!!! - 2/1 Away Team
Declan v Carlos - I didn't see any of this, but thought it could be tough for Declan before he went on, it seems it was fairly straight forward other than the 3rd but I did hear of a few dodgy calls from the marker 'It looked down so lets play a let'. - 2/2
Ben v Andy at 5 turned out to be the decider we were all dreading as the pressure generally gets right on top of Ben and this was no different. You can't knock Ben for trying, but he does tend to try too hard at points and Andy's experience just as Johns in his match with Ed showed through. Taking full advantage of Ben's frustrations Andy asked for let's at the right time, and pressed on and took the match - I think 3/1 - either way the result was a 3/2 win overall to The Park CLub.
Well played guys, I hope to be back after Christmas so see you on the return.
Tom.
Thanks Tom for the update and match report. It would make it far more easier for me to upload the results if players marked properly on the score sheets!! I had two matches scribbled on the back of another score sheet!!
