| Report: | Cold night and cold courts. As Adrian said, "more like playing in the car park" !!.
Hythe were looking to bounce back from a close game with Kings and started brightly with a win for Andy at 5 over Joe who never got going. Glenn was not able to master the conditions and Fraser came out on top at 4. Ray played well against David who despite winning 3-1, dropped his first game of the season. Tom and Adrian meanwhile had a battle of the drop shots (or were they just too slow to get to the ball !!) with Adrian coming out on top. This left the 1's to fight it out with Phil starting the brighter and establishing a 2 game lead before maybe slowing slightly as Matt upped his game and came back to 2 all before Phil tripped over (a non existant log) and with a twisted ankle conceded the 5th. Some good pizza and a few pints were enjoyed with Joe polishing off the last pieces !! |
