| Report: | An enjoyable evening but definitely the night the wheels fell off the Maidstone team following only dropping a point in the previous two matches. Maidstone suddenly down to only one player on form in the shape of Peter Stock, myself having just spent 2 days helping a friend move was too shattered to make any impression on Duane, Jack have not eaten for 6 days with an upset stomach and fever managed to make an appearance rather than leave us short, while we lost both the Fray brothers, Phil to injury having tripped down the steps out side the club and George for in fact the most important fantastic news that I can now confirm as the birth of his son. Well done to last minute replacement Chris who won our only point while our other player moved up from the second team leaving them with only 4 players called at 7.40 pm to stay he had a home emergency and could not come; we all hope not to serious. Just to make matters worse, Canterbury were one short so brought in John Brewer at the top who it is said is not a bad player for the unlucky Peter to play although a match he much enjoyed. Well done to the Canterbury Team and divine help now required for our match v Mote this week. |
