Report

Report: A good evening with Canterbury and grateful thanks to Phil who was also as chef demonstrating fantastic cooking and presentation of food skills putting our normal pizza to shame. he is now available for wedding and similar functions.
While James managed a solid 27 points I did not!! A historic evening for Graham as he achieved the first ever win for any player against Phil in the South East League but well done to Phil for maintaining such a record. Joe proved too strong for Jack on the day but valuable experience for him. The match of the evening was Peter and Mark 5 game thriller perhaps all coming down to nerve with the last three games all going to 8 all. Well done for Peter converting the 5th game 10-8 having survived match points at both 6-8 and 7-8 down.
Sadly George having been 2-0 and 8-6, 8-7 and 9-8 could not convert either of these match balls before losing the match in 5 following a calf injury in the third game. Having said that all credit to Matt for completing the mission as George never gave up; it must be said that Matt's final winning kills was of exceptional quality and well worth waiting for.
Mean while well done to young Josh Cutting for completing all his homework, enjoying Phil's cooking, walking my dog and then playing squash to finish, no doubt a future Canterbury first team star - watch this space.
