At 10.45pm Nic Was 8-4 in the 5th of a titanic battle to register a first defeat of the season for Matt and the match for Hythe. After a number of frenetic rallies and several match balls saved, Matt came out on top for Syndale 10-8. Earlier there had been a routine win for Jon, an agonising loss in 5 for Phil (well played Dave) a rather unorthadox game but win for Ray and a close tactical battle between Matt and Glenn with Matt coming out on top. After such a close game the beer and curry tasted better through the fatigue as the teams left the club after 11.30pm.
